Welcome to Inspirit Training & Development

 

Inspirit Training & Development Ltd  was founded in October 2007 by a group of ex-service users and experienced trainers from the Addaction NEXT Project and SMARTScheme.

 

We have been delivering foundation level substance misuse courses as well as the NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care (for substance misuse) since 2007 and were the first organisation in the UK to offer the qualification. The SMARTScheme has had considerable success with our former trainees now employed in projects all over London.

 

Inspirit began offering an evening route to gaining the NVQ 3 qualification in response to enquiries by those wishing to change their careers and enter the substance misuse field as practitioners but who did not have the daytime availability required by the SMARTScheme. The Evening NVQ Course now also accomodates individuals who already work in the field but do not have the relevant qualification, with places often funded by DAATs who recognise the need to develop and adequately train the workforce.

 

Inspirit was set up to enable us to continue to support and promote practitioner excellence in the field of substance misuse.
